根據村民口口相傳, 薄扶林村在很久之前有鬼怪作祟, 每晚傳有怪聲, 令村民難以安寢。 然有晚村民夢見一少女, 自稱是 "李靈仙姐", 並答允為村民除魔。自始村民就再沒有聽到怪聲 。村民為答謝這位仙姐, 於是建塔供奉。

According to villager’s words by mouth, long long time ago, Pokfulam Village had strange sound during the night time.  Villagers had difficulties in sleeping at night.  One day, there was a villager had dreamed of a young girl, called herself as "Li Ling Divine", and consented to eliminate the evil spirit for the villagers. Afterwards, the villagers had not heard the strange sound anymore. Therefore, the villagers build a pagoda for worship activities to pray for good health and fortune.
